  • 6 strips bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 (28 oz) cans original baked beans (undrained)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 9×9-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion in the remaining bacon fat until translucent. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the baked beans, cooked bacon, sautéed onions, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and mustard. Stir well.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake uncovered for 1 hour, stirring halfway through.
