Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 yellow onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24-26 oz) traditional pasta sauce
- 3 cups water
- 1 box (16 oz) penne pasta
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Set your Instant Pot to Sauté mode. Add olive oil, ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook until meat is browned.
- Stir in the pasta sauce until well combined.
- Pour in the water and add basil, Italian seasoning, parsley, and salt; mix thoroughly.
- Layer the uncooked penne pasta on top without stirring. Press down gently to submerge.
- Secure the lid and set the valve to Sealing. Pressure cook on High for 5 minutes.
