  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 5 ounces evaporated milk
  • 1 (14 oz) bag caramels, unwrapped
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt together.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter with sugars until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs; mix well.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients and fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Spread half the dough evenly in the baking dish and bake for 8–10 minutes until slightly set.
  6. Meanwhile, melt caramels with evaporated milk until smooth; stir in peanut butter.
